Jože Plečnik – Ljubljana’s famous architect
Ljubljana owns many of it’s famous buildings and landmarks to the Ljubljana born architect Jože Plečnik. It is therefore not surprising that the city celebrates this architect like no others. He did not only create the wonderful pedestrian areas along the river in Ljubljana but his most recognised feature of Ljubljana is the famous Trible Bridge, Tromostovje.

Today, 23 January 2012, Jože Plečnik’s birthday is celebrated by Google. They changed their logo to show this famous bridge. Here is a screenshot to show you the Google logo which is likely to be gone by the end of the day:
