Now a legendary death metal band, In Flames started out in Gothenburg Sweden back in 1990. Between 1990 and the upcoming In Flames Ljubljana concert, the band has released ten studio albums and sold more than 2 million records around the world. Their latest album ‘Sounds of a Playground Fading’ was released in June this year and was In Flames’ first record after the departure of the founding member Jesper Strömblad due to alcohol problems.

In Flames has been showered in awards including the ‘Best International Band” from Metal Hammers Golden Gods in 2008. In Sweden they also received the first ever Grammis award for the Best Hard Rock/Metal album back in 2005 followed by 3 more Grammis awards.

The Dubliners History

he band have been performing since 1962 and they started as the ‘Ronnie Drew Ballade Group’ even though the name was soon changed to the today iconic name The Dubliners. The name only came about by chance as one of the members happened to be reading James Joyce’s book by the name ‘Dubliners’.

The Dubliner’s became hugely successful in the 1960′s and they became one of the biggest pioneers for Irish folk music outside of Ireland. They reached two top 20 records in the UK pop charts in the 60′s but did not have another top 20 hit until the collaboration with The Pogues in 1987. The Dubliners also had followers in the music industry from musicians like Bob Dylan, Jimi Hendrix, Roy Orbison and Pink Floyd.
