Penzion Pod Lipo is probably the best Ljubljana Penzions you can find in the city centre. Located in a quiet area of Ljubljana’s city centre and run by one of Ljubljana’s friendliest and honest locals, this place is guaranteed to give you many happy memories.
The Ljubljana Penzion Pod Lipo is situated on top of a traditional Slovene restaurant and the building itself is over 200 years old. To add to the history, the court yard in which you can eat your breakfast, dinner or enjoy drinks in the evening is based around an old lime tree which was planted approximately 1626.
It’s central location is only 10 minutes walk from the river with its many restaurants, bars and the triple bridge. It is also a perfect Penzion if you are visiting concerts in either Cankarjev Dom or Križanke. At the Ljubljana Penzion Pod Lipo, you are well positioned to enjoy the quiet or bustling Ljubljana city as you wish.
Parking is the only difficult part with this Ljubljana Penzion as it doesn’t have it’s own car park. However, there are free and paid street parking close by which your host is eager to share his local knowledge of when to park where.

The rooms in Pod Lipo are basic but clean with some extra features. In every room you find a computer connected to the internet and a Cabel TV. The bathrooms are also kept very clean. You also have the ability to borrow a hairdryer and many other essentials. Just ask your host on arrival for more information.
Breakfast at Penzion Pod Lipo
The breakfast is not included in the price as you have the ability to use a shared kitchen to cook any food you like. Here is also an extensive selection of free tea bags available. Breakfast is offered in the downstairs restaurant from 8:30 Mon-Fri and from 9am on Sat-Sun for only €3.50 per person.
The Terrace at Penzion Pod Lipo
Even though the pension is located on the first and top floor of this old historical building, it does have a large terrace which you can enjoy at your leisure. It’s perfect for the smoking guests as smoking is prohibited in all accommodation by law in Slovenia but it’s also a great place to bring yout own food or drinks if you want to relax on a budget. With the green trees all around, it has a nice calming atmosphere exclusively for the guests.
